What is the Arizona CoppeRx Card Prescription Discount Program?

The Arizona CoppeRx Card Prescription Discount Program is a plan created by Governor Janet Napolitano to provide discounts on prescription drugs for all Arizona residents.

The cost of prescription drugs continues to skyrocket. By providing a discount program that is absolutely free for all Arizona residents, the State hopes to combat the high drug prices that force many to go without needed medications.

Am I eligible?

How do I enroll?

Savings typically range from 15 percent to 55 percent off the overall retail price. Your actual discount may be more or less, depending on the medication and the pharmacy you use. Since July 1, 2005, the program has saved participating residents more than $16 million. The greatest percentage of savings has been on generic drugs and prescriptions filled through mail service.

Yes. The Arizona CoppeRx Card can also be used for discounts on pet prescriptions such as phenobarbitol and amoxicillin. To qualify for the discount, you must have a valid prescription for your pet and the medication must be one that has a human equivalent. Your veterinarian should be able to tell you if you can fill your pet's prescription at a regular retail pharmacy. If you would like to use this benefit for your pet, you will need to sign your pet up for the CoppeRx Card. A card with your pet's name and their ID number will be mailed to your home.
