New Warnings about Tequin (gatifloxacin)

May 19, 2006 - Bristol-Myers Squibb has decided to discontinue the commercialization of Tequin (gatifloxacin) tablets and injection. They have decided to cease shipping the product to wholesalers in the United States effective June 2, 2006.

Reason for Shortage: Drug to be discontinued.

Additional Information: Tequin is an antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone class. Alternative antibiotics are available for future courses of treatment.
