Program Description

The Silver Rx prescription program allows members to purchase prescriptions at a discount. Drugs required by Federal Law to be obtained by a prescription are covered in the Silver Rx program.

There is a discount on every eligible prescription.

• Savings typically range from 2 percent to 35 percent, with an overall average savings of 16 percent off the pharmacy's standard retail price. Your actual discount may be more or less, depending on the medication and the pharmacy you use.
• Discounts are given at the time of purchase. You have no receipts to submit or claims to fill out.
• Simply show your Silver Rx ID card to your pharmacist when you fill your prescription.
• Participation in the Silver Rx program costs $7.95 per person per year.

Exclusions to the Silver Rx program are the following: over-the-counter products, durable medical supplies/equipment, and prescription/non-prescription items that can be billed to Medicare Part B.

The Silver Rx program is offered in the following states: CO, DE, FL, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, OK, OR, PA, SD, TN, TX, UT, WA, WI and WY

Enrollment Information

Silver Rx Enrollment Application.

To enroll in Silver Rx, you must be 60 years of age or older. You must also complete, print and mail the application form with your $7.95 application fee to

You will receive your Silver Rx identification card in the mail. Present your ID card at your nearest participating pharmacy and you will begin receiving your prescription discount.

Participating pharmacies may vary from time-to-time. Silver Rx is not an insurance plan, a health care plan or any other plan or entity that covers prescription drug costs or arranges for prescription services.
